it’s not actually madness day where i am rn, but i thought i’d post this early because what i have planned for madness day def isn’t gonna be finished until the big day

happy madness day!!!! im especially excited for this year because it’s also the 1 year anniversary of when i watched the series for the first time (i watched it for the first time last year on madness day, since the fnf community was talking about it), which means it’s also the 1 year anniversary of when i absolutely fell in love with the characters & universe of madness combat!!!!!

it’s very late for me and i admittedly spent the entire day thumbnailing ideas for my madness day art so. expect something tomorrow, or sometime after that if i miss it

also, icon next to the title may or may not be a hint as to which character im drawing ;)

i just realized how much i’ve improved since i first started drawing people

for context, i drew nothing but cats for like, 3-4 years straight until i started drawing people back in october

last time i drew parfait cookie from cookie run: kingdom was on my birthday (october 17th) last year. this was the drawing:

moral of the story is: take a moment right now to go back and look at your old art compared to your new stuff. it is a HUGE motivation boost

i might start posting on deviantart more again, because although i’m still a firm believer that it sucks. im only using it because 1. points and 2. nothing’s replacing it anytime soon

i just wanted to do this to 1. use the blog feature more and 2. update you guys on why i still haven’t been posting much art at all recently,,,

my art block is getting a lot better (watch me jinx it lmao), the biggest reason why i haven’t been drawing much is because i haven’t been doing too well mentally. it’s hard to get art done because of that. no, this isn’t a cry for attention, i’m just being truthful here

i’m also going to be working on anatomy/fundamentals + adding more emotion/story to my art (because i’ve always wanted to do that and it just recently hit me that my art is kinda flat) so watch out for that i guess!!!!

i’ve also been working on an original oc universe, and i have no idea what im going to do with it lmao. one of my goals for the story is to turn it into a newgrounds movie/possible fnf mod. or maybe even a webcomic. i’m keeping my goals as small as possible for now though, especially because i know most of you guys are here for fanart and not original stuff lmao,,

if you’re curious, a quick tl;dr of the main plot is 3 teenagers making a youtube channel dedicated to milking off of the zombie apocalypse that’s currently plaguing their world

anyway, for context, this is an npc in omori who only appears once but me and my younger brother absolutely fell in love with him when we first saw him during our playthrough. speaking of omori it absolutely broke me and i WILL be making art of it
